Ilgaz Tourism and Hotel Management School is established within the Çankırı Karatekin University according to the decision taken by Higher Education General Assembly  at meeting dated 03.03.2011 with the letter of the Council of Higher Education dated 08.03.2011 and numbered 1483  and published in the Official Gazette dated 24 October 2011 and numbered 28094.

Our School is located in a central location in Ilgaz which is the most  touristic district of Çankırı.

There are four  Academic Departments in our school. These Departments are; Tourism Management, Tourism Guidance, Gastronomy Management and Culinary Arts and Recreation Management.

Tourism Management and Tourism Guidance Departments were established in 2015 and education continues actively in these departments. Our school started education with the Department of Tourism Management in 2016-2017 and gave its first graduates in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Recreation Management Department is established in 2018.

There are three associate professors, three doctoral faculty members and a total of three research assistants, one of whom has the title of doctor in our school.
